AMBASAMUDRAM
Ambasamudram is located in Tirunelveli – Papanasam State Highways Road at distance of 35 Kms from Tirunelveli on West Direction. River tambiraparani, originating from the Western Ghats and flowing through the city out side is the major geographical features of this Municipality.
Ambasamudram Municipality is a Taluk Head Quarters. It is located at a distance of 35Km west of Tirunelveli. This town is well connected by a net work of roads and railway lines. There is a railway line which connects Tirunelveli, Chennai and Kollam, near by State of Kerala. The State Highways passes through this town. The area of the town is 17.84 Sq.km with a population of 32739 as per 2001 census. The town is divided into 21 wards.
In this city many famous Hindu temples and Churchs are established, All over Tamil Nadu Devote’s and Tourist are visit the temples and Churchs are workshiped.
The important Tourist places like Manimuthar Dam site, Manjolai Tea estate upper Kothaiyar Dam, Papanasam Dam and Courtrallam are around the Ambasamudram city limit about 10 (to) 30 Kms.
The State Highways Road and Railway stations are situated in the town. It is easily approach the tourist places.
All the tourist visit the site far away from Ambasamudram Municipality Area easily. The Cinema Shuttings are taken up in this area in regularly.
All over Tamil Nadu and Kerala tourist people are visit in the above tourist spot in everyday. Hence providing of water supply , Street light, Public Toilet approach road are essential for tourist.
